About

About Dr Isabelle

Dental Collective brings the former Vaucluse Dental and Stephen Chimes Dental together under one name, with Dr Isabelle as principal dentist.

Two of our dentists at Dental Collective

Dr Isabelle completed a Bachelor of Science with Distinction at the University of Wollongong before graduating in Dentistry with Honours from the University of Sydney in 2011. She has held registration with the Dental Board of Australia since December of that year, and received a number of academic awards over the course of her studies.

Her clinical work centres on orthodontics and clear aligner treatment, including Invisalign and Spark, and on cosmetic dentistry. In each, the teeth are considered in relation to the face as a whole: the line of the smile and the proportions of the teeth.

Consultations with Dr Isabelle set out the options, their risks and their costs, so that every decision is an informed one and rests with the patient. She sees patients of every age.

At Rose Bay she practises alongside Dr Stephen Chimes, who opened that clinic in 1994.

Surface roughness of restoration margin preparations: a comparative analysis of finishing techniques

Clarke I, Aquilia A, Bertassoni LE, Guazzato M, Klineberg I. The International Journal of Periodontics & Restorative Dentistry. 2015;35(2):211-218. Published under the name Isabelle Clarke.

The study compared four instruments used to finish the margin of a tooth preparation, the edge where a crown or restoration meets the natural tooth, and measured the surface roughness and contour each one produced in dentine.
